1. What is a Brazilian wax?
A Brazilian wax is a hair removal technique that involves removing all or most of the hair from the pubic area, including the front, back, and in-between.
2. How long does the hair need to be for a Brazilian wax?
The hair should ideally be about ¼ to ½ inch in length (about the length of a grain of rice) for effective waxing. This allows the wax to grip the hair properly for removal.
3. Does Brazilian waxing hurt?
Brazilian waxing can be uncomfortable, as it involves removing hair from a sensitive area. However, the level of pain varies from person to person and is minimized at The Naked Peach by using holds, pressure and soothing products. Numbing cream is available 1/2 hour prior to appointment for an extra $5.
4. How long does a Brazilian waxing session typically take?
The duration of a Brazilian waxing session can vary depending on factors such as the individual’s hair growth and the esthetician’s speed. At The Naked Peach it can take around 15 to 20 minutes.
5. How often should I get a Brazilian wax?
The frequency of Brazilian waxing varies from person to person. Generally, it is recommended to schedule appointments every 4 to 6 weeks, as this allows the hair to grow back enough for effective removal while maintaining smoothness in between sessions.
6. What is the best way to maintain my Brazilian waxing?
Proper aftercare helps to insure a great waxing experience. We suggest using our scrub 2-3 days a week and serum 2-3 days a week as well. Check out our Best Sellers Kit on website under products.
7. How should I prepare for a Brazilian wax?
It is recommended to exfoliate the area gently a day or two before the appointment, avoid moisturizers or oils on the day of the wax, and wear loose-fitting clothing for comfort afterward. Consult with your esthetician for any specific instructions you may have.
8. Can I get a Brazilian wax during my menstrual cycle?
You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle. We suggest waiting 3-4 days after cycle, however you can still get waxed during that time.
9. Can I get a Brazilian wax if I’m pregnant?
Brazilian waxing during pregnancy is considered safe 1-5 months, but over 6 months we do not wax clients due to pressure put on area from pregnancy.
10. What is the safest wax to use during a Brazilian Wax?
The Milady Standard Esthetics Book advises all estheticians to use Hard Wax on coarse hair found in the Brazilian area. Hard wax by design shrink wraps around the hair and can be removed in any direction; like the hair grows in that area. Hard wax also adheres to hair and not skin, making it safe to use in that area. The Naked Peach uses its own custom hard wax made with natural ingredients.
